Tell everyone a little about yourself.

I've worked in tech companies for 15 years; writing code, deploying VMs, customer workshops, selling solutions, pitching for investment - anything and everything. I love the startup atmosphere and working with driven individuals. Outside of work my young family takes up most of my time, as they get older I'm reclaiming time for activities in order of precedence 1. sleep (where necessary), 2. fitness (ex. smoker attempting to become a tri-athlete), 3. rediscovering my passion for live music.

Are you currently running a tech company or looking to form one? Tell us about that!

The last startup I worked for unfortunately hit the buffers, but apparently success is the ability to move from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm so I'm learning the lessons and moving on! The general theme is organising and sharing data to help people improve their world, sorry it's a bit vague at the moment.

Which tech companies have you been involved with in the past?

After university I was a tech journeyman at Logica, working on projects in defense, energy and telecoms. I've worked for various mobile operators and middleware providers, but the most rewarding work has been with startups. I spent over 5 years with Historic Futures, a unique company that provides supply chain traceability to major retailers and certifiers. Using technology to navigate the complex supply chains to promote transparency and accountability. I've also done consultancy work with a German commercial property company to promote transparency and knowledge sharing of construction projects with an emphasis on sustainability.
