Note that the meeting on Thursday, July 30th, is the Mexican film, "Rudo y Cursi" at the Uptown Stage and Screen. This film won the Audience Award at the 2009 Newport Beach Film Festival.
Note that this weekend, starting Tonight, is the free three-day Latin festival called Fiestaval in Olympic Plaza.
I would like to give an example why it is a good idea to arrive at the platform of the Olympic Plaza Station of the C-Train BEFORE 12:00 Noon.
Last year two members of the group spent a day at Fiestaval, and our group also spent the day at the festival, but we didn't run into each other except by chance after we left the festival.
This is part of the nature of festival-type events. You might run into us, but you also might not.
If we come to the rendez-vous point on time, at least we start out together.
Also, I would like us to know that I will spend part of all three days at The festival. Besides Sunday, I also intend to be there Tonight (Friday) from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and Saturday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. If anyone is enjoying the festival alone and would rather enjoy it with one or more other people, feel free to call or text my cell at[masked]-1232.
I am looking forward to seeing us at the meetings!
