A Journey Through Flamenco & Spanish Films

Annette

Calgary, AB
Post #: 23
This project will present a series of films related to the art of Flamenco as well as Spanish art and culture. In this first edition, four Canadian cities, Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg and Calgary, will be screening a few of the works of the Spanish Film director Emilio Barrachina. Amongst these films the musical documentary “Morente”, a 2012 Goya nominated film will be featured. This film had such a high demand during the 2011 Vancouver Film Festival that it was presented on two additional evenings. Madrid-based flamenco critic and author Justine Bayoz Espoz, whom works closely with Mr. Barrachina, will be the special guest for this event. She will be offering pre and post film chat for the movies presented in each city.

In Calgary both Morente and Lorca will be featured. For more information on each of these movies and trailers please click on the name of each film. Both films will be presented on April 20, 2012 at the River Park Church. For more information and to purchase tickets please visit www.flamencocalgary.com.

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SEE ORIGINAL SPANISH FILMS OF ART AND CULTURE
