I like travel and learning languages. Sometimes life gets in the way of what we enjoy.
conversational. Studied 4 years - 40 years ago. visited Spain then didn't use it for 20 years. began visiting Mexico but a week once or twice a year doesn't help. Spent a month volunteering in Costa Rica last month and want to keep the skills up.

Estoy feliz de unirme. Espero poder asistir con más frecuencia.
We've done some research, but we have a family vacation in June (When we would still be brooding) and at first decided that would be a bad idea, and maybe we would try later in the year with adult chickens. But with all the wedding planning and prep we need (Runs, coop, ect) we decided it would be far better to spend the year researching and come back to it next spring.
My neighbors are very excited that I am getting a chicken & would most likely be okay if I were to get a 2nd chicken. Fluffy (not my doing) is 2yrold where would I find a compatable friend for her?
Thanks for the advise, It isn't that I wouldn't want more than 1 chicken. This chicken has been living alone in a kennel as a temp house because it has been ousted by its flock, It has a busted wing. It has been alone now for 4 months & is still laying one egg a day. I am hesitant to get more than 1 bird with this girl because she has had a tough couple of months. Plus I would need to get a permit from the city for more than 1 bird I have 3 dogs & that pust me at limit of 4 animals.
Hi Guy, just wanted to give you a heads up that the chickens are on the agenda for tomorrow's public works meeting at 4:00, same place as last night. Late notice and strange time but just wanted to let you know. Thank you for going last night, everyone who showed up helped! If I don't see you tomorrow I'll keep you posted. Thanks again!! Angie
Guy, just got notice the class this saturday is cancelled, I have some questions if you're available so I don't screw up with my first chicks
My neighbors dog killed my rooster today and now I have one lonely rooster hatched by myself last May. Do you have two hens for sale? I'm not sure of his breed but he looks like the classic orange/brown with yellow legs and blue tail. I'd like egg laying chickens for personal use. Thanks.
looking for 2 hens got any available
Mike & I will be at the Black Jack council meeting tomorrow night! Fingers crossed!
I am appalled at the treatment you are receiving as a result of the article you were featured in, which was supposed to educate and enlighten others on the benefits of raising chickens! I am a newbie to this backyard chicken thing. I have been learning so much from this site as a result of your knowledgeable postings on various threads and subjects. We just complete our coop this past weekend and are looking forward to having a little flock here in south city. Which brings me to my next post...
