Festival de la familia

This looks like a fun way to explore the Latino culture & practice Spanish. Invite your friends & family. They would enjoy it even if they don't have an interest in learning Spanish. We could take public transportation or carpool. Alli nos vemos.
Festival de la familia home page Families throughout Northern California are invited to experience one of the most festive family cultural events in California at the 19th Annual Festival de la Familia (Festival of the Family) at Cal Expo in Sacramento on Sunday, April 25th, 2010. This year's festival celebrates more than 20 Latino cultures all in one place, at one time, for one fun-filled day – no passport or babysitter required. The Festival brings to Sacramento and all Californians the beautiful colors, cuisine, arts, dance, music and folklore of the Latino cultures for the entire family to enjoy.

We had beautiful weather today. Warm but not hot, constant breeze and not a cloud in the sky. I went crazy snapping pictures and have posted a few to share with the group. Maybe we can make this an annual event.

I'll meet up with Richard and the other early birds in the Burger King parking lot at 9:30. Phil has a good point. We might want to redezvous at the Main Gate at noon and 3:00pm to hook up with others that can't make it for the entire day. For those who don't want to miss anything there is a mass at 9:00am. It should be a good time of food, education, entertainment and ofcourse Español.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
