Meetup site, though I do think a friend mentioned it to me about five years ago.
I lived in Costa Rica for a year and have made short trips to Mexico and Argentina.
I am a Spanish translator and interpreter. I am ATA certified for Spanish-to-English and English-to-Spanish translations, which isn't to say my Spanish is perfect—I'm still always working on it—but it does mean that with what I know and some good dictionaries and research skills (and proofreading!), I do translate well. It might sound strange, but I translate better than I speak.
Hi, I started a similar group a couple years ago in Olympia. It is more focused on people learning Spanish, but we get (and welcome) everyone from absolute beginners to native speakers. About 10 to 15 people, 1st and 3rd Mondays, 6ish to 8ish.
