The summer Solstice is the day that has the longest period of daylight during the calendar year, which means there is more time to party outdoors on that day!...and the people of Fremont know that pretty well.
Every year the "unique" Solstice Parade takes place in the artsy city of Fremont. The highlight of it is the naked biker ride, which by the way is still accepting applications. To participate, you only need a bike in working conditions and maybe some body paint... six packs and good fitness are really appreciated by the audience :)
What a fun event to get together! we are meeting in the corner of Fremont N AVE and N 34th ST around 2 PM by the J.P. Patches statue. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a portable chair if you don't want to see the entire parade standing.
