Used to be a spanish / English interpreter for Customs in the New Orleans Airport years ago, and then worked in translation for a few years after that. THe jobs I've loved the most have a foreign language component to them. Sadly, I don't have one of those jobs now so i've gotta find someone else who can help me keep my skills up.
Yes, I will
Non-native, but lived in Spain (Leon and Madrid) for a year while in college, worked in customs and immigration as an interpreter upon my return to the states, and then began working full time as an interpereter/translator for an agency in Oklhahoma. LOVED IT. Traveled as an interpreter to Mexico, Honduras, Bolivia and Peru.
Before I moved to New Orleans, I spoke spanish on a daily basis at the clinic where I worked in Arkansas. I miss it! Would love opportunities to practice and meet new people
