San Fermin in Nueva Orleans

Hola a todos--

I am getting ready to leave town for about three weeks, but wanted to remind you all to check out the wild, joyful NOLA version of Pamplona's famous running of the bulls on Saturday July 14--when runners dressed in white and red get their backsides bopped with plastic bats wielded by horn-helmeted Big Easy Rollergirls and their comrades on skates.

There are actually four days of festivities, with El Encierro taking place on Saturday at 8AM sharp!  But you'll want to get there much earlier for the full experience.

This year there is an option to register as a runner. This helps raise funds to maintain the event, but it is NOT a requirement.

The NOLA running of the bulls is unique and a great deal of fun.   I encourage you all to check out the website and then RUN!

Hasta luego!
