Presentadora: Lucia Stone
Musicos: Victor Machado, Elliot Stone, Graciela Emerson, Alejandra Silverio

Theme: The New Latin-American Chant - Decade of the 60-70s

Tonight?s theme is the ?new chant? as the only means by which Latin American university students from the 60s and 70s demonstrated their opposition, their protest and their criticism of the atrocities committed by the military governments of that time. The new chant also became a way of unifying the committed young people of that era.

One can consider the value of the poetic text that comprised these songs from a literary point of view. Said poetry is not limited only to themes of protest but leaves space for love, for poetry and for the sublime, immersed in a moment in which the literature starts to speak about the subordination of the marginalized classes.

Presenter: Lucia Stone
Musicians: Victor Machado, Elliot Stone, Graciela Emerson, Alejandra Silverio
