I joined the Spanish Club to meet other Spanish language enthusiasts, share what I know, and learn some of what I don't know.
Over the past couple of years, I've had some opportunity here and there to practice what Spanish I know.
I would say that my skill level is advanced intermediate. I need to expand my vocabulary and improve my listening comprehension.
Hello, I'm Doug Danner. I'm the current Organizer of the Midlands Area Spanish Club. I live in Northeast Columbia, and Meetup.com has been a great way for me to meet new people and make new friends.
The group's agenda is semi-structured, and that's just the way I like it. The Assistant Organizers and I are coming up with new ideas for club activities. We're also glad to listen to what our members have in mind.
Dear Paisano Doug,
I am an American living in Guatemala (for 24 years), looking to repatriate. May I send you a longer memo at another email? I have some questions.
Hi. I found the email that you sent me. Thanks for the tip. Carlos.

Hi Doug! I'm looking for a spanish tutor for my 10 yr old son who was in spanish immersion from age 1 to 5. Since then I've been using tutors. But, I'm having a hard time finding spanish tutors in the Columbia area. Do you have any suggestions? I posted an ad on Craigs list and have gotten no responses. Now I'm trying local clubs. Could I just go through the list of members and ask individuals if they would be interested? Lisa
Hi Doug! Nice to meet you. Good luck with your car! Maybe I'll see you at a meetup soon.
Hello Doug. Thank your for your message of support and healing. I am very grateful for you and wish for you unlimited success as a new meetup organizer! Let me know if I can assist in any way.
Muchos Gracias mi amigo!
