My wife and I took immersion courses for 4-6 weeks at a time in Malaga, Spain, Buenos Aires, and San Jose, Costa Rica. I highly recommend them. There are schools of similar format almost anywhere in any of the Spanish speaking countries. The costs are reasonable with varied types of accomodations. Staying with local families (with or without board) is the best option for young single persons. Since my wife was with me, we rented an apartment in all the countries. I will be glad to show the study materials I have and to talk to anyone interested in further

Subject: [spanish-891] Who has done a Language Study Program in Guatemala (or other Hispanic
I seem to remember someone telling me about a language program that they did in Guatemala: where private lessons were provided daily, as well as room & board/meals included in the price. I can't remember who was telling me about the program they did, but I think it was over a year ago. (My recollection of the conversation is that it took place in the Panera in Westerville) but that is all I remember.
At any rate, if you have done this type of program (in Guatemala or elsewhere) and want to share your experience with me, that would be great. I'm looking into information to pass along to others.
