Join us for a day of culture, music, healthy food, walking and mucho español. We’re going to Corona, Queens for a real cultural immersion. The group will meet at Corona Plaza and will head to the Louis Armstrong Museum. Along the way we’ll explore this authentic Hispanic neighborhood with its bodegas, botánicas and restaurantes. Finally, the group will go to and an genuine Mexican restaurant with its own tortilla factory and savor the best tacos in the whole Universe! Don’t miss this great opportunity use your Spanish (and hear it spoken on the street!), eat delicious food and meet great people.
WHO: Anybody interested in Hispanic culture in Nueva York
WHEN: Saturday, June 7th, 2014 (Rain date: Saturday, June 21)
TIME: 12:00pm – 3.30pm
WHY: To learn more about Hispanic language and culture in the city
LEVEL: Anybody who is at least a Lower Beginner
HOW MUCH: $18 (Includes walking tour and ticket to the Museum. It does NOT include food).
We'll meet at the Corona Plaza at noon. The walking tour will start at 12:30 Pm. if you miss the group you can join the group at the Louis Armstrong Museum at 1:00pm. We'll stay at the museum for an hour maximum. After the museum the group will go to the Mexican restaurant. Please be on time and wear comfortable shoes.
