Rubber Grommets for CD spindles

For Rubber grommets that fit perfectly into the middle of the CDs, go to http://www.mcmaster.c... The item no. is 9307K23. Price is $9.03 for a pack of 50. Inner diameter of 3/8", and outer diameter of 7/8".

The Home Depot kind don't really fit that well and you would still have to add clear tubing to it or rubber band, or something to fill in the little space. These are so much better.

I did find some in an electrical supply store on Canal St. for $1 each!

Thanks for the info, Jillan!

I find that the ones from Home Depot are hit or miss - they can be marked the same size, but it's a toss-up whether they fit or not.

Also, when buying dowel rod I've found it helpful to bring a tape measure - just because it's marked 3/8" doesn't mean it's exactly 3/8". I also bring a grommet with me and try to find a dowel rod that fits it well.
