Ride Name: 29 – 222 Ride: Cycling 2 Trails to 2 Waterfalls across 2 Counties
Trail: Summit Bike and Hike Trail – Route 303 Trailhead to Bridal Veil Falls (Bedford Reservation)
Rating: Advanced
Ride Type: Out and Back
Distance: 26.6 miles
Map:

Today’s ride has us heading north on the Summit Bike and Hike from the Route 303 Trailhead. Our destination is Bridal Veil Falls in the Cleveland Metro Parks’ Bedford Reservation. Following the trail through the ledges, we stop to enjoy the vistas of Brandywine Falls. We climb the trail and pass into Cuyahoga County at Alexander Road. The Cleveland Metro Parks Multi-purpose Trail takes us into the Bedford Reservation. We follow the reservation’s bike trail to the Bridal Veil Falls overlook where we take in our second waterfall of the day. We turn our bikes south and cycle back to the Route 303 trailhead.

Out and back rides are designed with the intermediate and advanced cyclist in mind. These rides cycle out of a trailhead to a set destination, typically 8-10 miles away. After a break, the riders cycle back to the departure trailhead.

This ride is rated as advanced, as it is a longer ride for the recreational cyclist. Cyclists travel at a pace of 11-13 mph. The ride traverse variable terrain with easy grades with a few short climbs. Distance is usually 15-30 miles. Regroups are common but at the discretion of the ride leader. Rest stops taken as needed.

This ride is on the calendar of the Spin-off Cyclists . We encourage you to join us on this and other rides. We are a group of cyclists of all ages and abilities who cycle the trails of Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas for fun, health and friendship.

By accepting this Spin-off Cyclists Bicycle Club event’s RSVP and attending this event, I have read and voluntarily agree to the RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT.
