Bournemouth Spiritual Exchange Fortnightly Meetup

Wanna talk spiritual stuff with like-minded people and have a bit of fun at the same time? Then this group is for YOU!!

It's designed to attract spiritual people of all ages and persuasions, and in our fortnightly meetings the atmosphere is SOCIAL and INFORMAL, allowing people time to talk to friends new and old – in deliberate contrast to an evening dominated by a paid speaker. Above all we like to have FUN and not take ourselves too seriously, so we tend to begin and end our meetings at the bar ;-)

Of course the EXCHANGE of ideas and viewpoints to broaden our horizons is important too, so around an hour and a half is set aside during meetings for a discussion chaired by one of the organisers, during which we adjourn to a meeting room with chairs placed in a circle. In some meetings we deliberately discuss specific topics announced in advance (see our discussion board for more details of future topics). Others are much more free flowing and we tend to just see where the energy takes us.

Above all what the members of this group do is 'come from the heart'. Right from day one that's how it worked out, with members opening up to each other about their spiritual thoughts and inclinations in ways they might not with even their nearest and dearest. You're also welcome even if you think you're a 'beginner', because you've probably had just as many lives as any of us ;-)

We really look forward to welcoming you to our shared journey

PS The charge for room hire is currently £50. Suggested payment with normal turnout in the mid-20s is therefore around £2 to cover that cost, collected on the night.

ALIENS ABDUCT FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD! It's hard for me to forget my tabloid newspaper days and this headline may be ever so slightly OTT.... But I can promise you a paranormal story well worth hearing courtesy of Nico our favourite Italian group member who revealed all over drinks in the bar after this meeting. No room here to tell the tale but skate on over to Discussions where you can celebrate Halloween with this very spooky happening,,,,,

Thanks again for a great meeting Ian. My granddaughter enjoyed it too - hopefully she will come again sometime. 'Seth' was mentioned again which reminded me I had never heard of him so as soon as I got home I purchased 'Seth Speaks' for my kindle - hoping to 'get into it' this evening whilst babysitting for two young grandchildren - and kittens - that's if the latter are not too much of a distraction!! Much love to all - look forward to the next meeting. xx

That was probably the best so far for me... thoroughly enjoyed it (better be careful with my spelling and grammar - Lorna's about).
I hope we can follow up with this subject as it is, for me, the most difficult to comprehend. It involves notions of time and virtual reality that we hardly touched on yet have profound implications.

It certainly was ! Many thanks to everyone for their contributions to another fascinating evening, with plenty to think about. I am in awe of those of us who have read so widely ... and who can remember so much of what they've read :-) I look forward to Round 2 on this important and interesting subject ...

Please remember everyone to send some focused and supportive thoughts to Aurelija during this challenging time.
Had a fascinating chat with Jay in the bar afterwards about his roller coaster ride into all things weird.
You must really give Jay an evening Ian to tell all!

I won't be able to make this meeting, I will be away in Copenhagen. Shame as I'm very interested in what you are going to discuss. See you all next time. Love & Hugs

I have to agree with Ian. I feel there are many reasons why someone would not want to have their thoughts recorded and that they may also not want to discuss why. I feel this preference should be accepted with the minimum of fuss and conjecture, if those involved are to feel 'safe' and respected. Love to all x

Can we please drop the recording thing. It has already put one. new person off attending. Call it a chairmans decision if you like (which as you all know is rarely invoked in this group but on this occasion seems appropriate). If anyone insists on discusing it further please do it with me privately. Tbanks xx

On the subject of CREATING OUR OWN REALITY which is the topic for this meeting, I hope you don't mind me posting a favourite poem of mine which in a way, is connected.

It's about a yearning for a peaceful world and it follows that if we can really affect reality and change things - then the final outcome of vast numbers of people doing that, will be...peace.

The software here won't allow the whole poem so here's a taster from one of the final verses of A BRAVE AND STARTLING TRUTH. I'll post the full poem under the Discussions button.

    When we come to it
We, this people, on this wayward, floating body
Created on this earth, of this earth
Have the power to fashion for this earth
A climate where every man and every woman
Can live freely without sanctimonious piety
    Without crippling fear

Howard wrote:" last week has already had a profound effect upon my thinking".

You mean you're thinking 'What a bunch of screwballs!"

Ah well glad you're returning for more punishment Howard.

Love and Peace to you too!

In case you didn't see the circular, this meeting we'll discuss the topic of CREATING OUR OWN REALITY, or manifesting for short. How to do it, why it sometimes doesn't work, and even why it does work when it does... if that makes sense ;-)
