Triangle Arduino Hack Afternoon

Triangle Arduino & Microcontrollers Club

It's time again for Triangle Arduino Hack Afternoon at SplatSpace!

What is an Arduino? See these links for more info:

No prior experience is required to attend hack afternoon and you don't even need to own an Arduino. There are plenty of members who will be glad to let you look over their shoulder and ask questions. Some will even hand you some parts and let you tinker. If you have your own parts, definitely bring them. We have lots of space and everyone should have room to work on a reasonably sized project.

You don't need to be a member of SplatSpace in order to attend, but please do ask about the membership options while you're there. It's a great group of folks and, if you're into Ard
uino, there's a good chance that you'll share interests with many of our members.

Go here for directions to SplatSpace:

If anyone has projects they'd like to collaborate on, feel free to start a conversation on the [masked] mailing list. This announcement has also been cross-posted to that list.

We hope to see you there!

I'll try to have a project idea ready to work on.

I've got two boys 13 and 14 that have experience coding in scratch that want to start controlling hardware. I have rusty EET skills and a lot of left over components at the house. Is this the right place to come with my boys if we want to start building code / hardware stuff?

Absolutely! We meet two times a month: the second Monday of each month at Techshop upstairs in one of their conference rooms; and the third Saturday of each month at Splat*Space. You and your boys are welcome at either or both meetings. Also you're welcome to work on things at Splat*Space on other weekend afternoons -- just call there first to make sure a key-holding member will be there to let you in and out. [masked]-HACK)

Great - Thanks. We went to the engineering thing at Tech Shop this weekend. We have a conflict on March 16th - but I might try to get out there for the 11th at techshop.
