Splat Space - Durham's Hackerspace Message Board › Startup Stampede: 60 Days of Free Space in Durham
|A former member||
Durham is giving away free space to startups--60 days in downtown, a 50:5 wi-fi connection, and a rocking network of startup experts to help you launch. There is no cost to your company, no equity, no strings attached. We want to see Durham become a hotbed for startups and this is one way we're doing it. The Stampede begins September 16 and ends November 18. Applications close August 12.
You can apply now (simple one-pager) and get more info at www.startupstampede.com. We ran the Stampede in the spring--here are some thoughts from those companies:
"By providing us with tools and a space to work from we were able to gain more velocity, secure close to $100K in a seed round and integrate our product within a division of UNC Healthcare more quickly."
--Andrew Hooge, Founder, Fitsistant
"The Startup Stampede was ideally timed as a launch platform for our VC Hub product. We could not be happier with the results from the Startup Stampede."
--Jeff Boardman, Founder, LearnVC
"The Stampede really opened my eyes about Durham and participating allowed us to experience it first hand. We liked it so much, we got an office in the American Tobacco Campus."
--Bob Etheridge, Founder, JobKatch.com
