What is Meetup?
Meetup is the world's largest network of local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face. More than 55,567 groups with 6 million members get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities. From politics to parenting, Pugs to Great Danes, running marathons to running small businesses there are thousands of topics with devout groups of influential and passionate people meeting up.
What are Sponsors?
Sponsors are businesses, brands, or other organizations that want to support local Meetup Groups.
What's a Meetup Sponsorship?
For Meetup Groups, a sponsorship is a great way to get support in lots of different ways. For a Sponsor, it's a great way to engage with passionate people who can become loyal to your business or brand.
What are most Meetup Groups looking for from a Sponsor?
Different groups have different needs. Generally, it's common for groups to be looking for a place to meet, discounts on products or services or help paying their monthly Meetup subscription fees. But that is generally speaking. There are plenty of exceptions.
I want to sponsor a few Meetup Groups. How do I do that?
First you need to find Meetup Groups that are seeking Sponsors - they'll have the "Sponsor our Meetup Group" button on their pages. When you find a group you're interested in sponsoring, click the "Sponsor our Meetup Group" link to begin a conversation with them by email. It's up to you and the group's Organizer to work out the details. Please note that to contact the Organizer you'll need to Register for Meetup.com if you're not yet a member, or Sign In if you are a member. There is no need to join the particular Meetup Group you're interested in sponsoring, just Meetup.com.
I want to sponsor 50 or more Meetup Groups. How do I do that?
If you are looking for scale (more that 50 Meetup Groups), some extra help and account management, and have a budget (at least $5,000 a month) -- Meetup HQ can help you with every aspect of your sponsorship.

How much does it cost to sponsor a Meetup Group?
If you're looking to sponsor a few Meetup Groups it often doesn't cost a thing - it completely depends on the terms you work out with the Organizer. Learn more about how to sponsor a few Meetup Groups.

I'm an Organizer. How do I let sponsors know that I'd like my group to get sponsored?
The best way to do this on Meetup.com is to put the "Sponsor Our Meetup Group" button on your group's pages. Go to "Group Settings" for your Meetup group. Click on the "Sponsors" link and the "Get Me Sponsors" tab. Once there, check "I want to display the Sponsor Our Meetup Group button." Now the "Sponsor Our Meetup Group" button will appear on your group's pages and sponsors can contact you through that button.
It's also a good idea to reach out to local businesses in your area and ask them if they'd like to sponsor your group. Learn more about how to do that here.
