If you start to yawn at the thought of a long drawn out sports conversation, then you're our type of guy.
This group was started because: I'm a friendly guy, and I actually have sports abilites, but I don't have the interest nor the time to follow and watch sports and I find myself left out of conversations, and many times I get the feeling that the other men ( or women) might actually feel that I am somehow inferior or less masculine etc. I do enjoy watching MMA, that is because I am a kickboxer.
My big question: Where do all these guys get all this extra time? I don't think I could fit the extra time to watch 2,3, 4 or more games a week in my busy schedule. Maybe it's because I'm a driven business owner and work more than the standard 40 hours per week.
I found that my lack of interest in continually watching sports ( except for world series or maybe the Super Bowl) can be a disadvantage in making new friends and networking socially as well as professionally, and am seeking other men like myself.
So I'm looking for a few good men, who, for whatever reasons are also not interested in watching and incessantly talking about sports, but want the comradery of other men for other interesting events/get togethers.
Poker / card games, billiards, video games, bowling, cigar smoking, could even be watching some sport that we all may actually like.
I am fairly sure that others guys that have found difficulty in relating because of sports knowledge, or who have been slighted becasue of it will probably have an easier time getting along....since the proverbial 800 lb gorilla has now exited the room.
So, if you have interest in joining and relating to some new guys, then get in touch.
