Join us for Part I of the break-out event of the SuccessfulPrimate! Personal Growth Adventure Group. This meet-and-greet will be the perfect opportunity to meet other new members and to share your ideas for the group. This is a relatively unstructured purely social “have fun and get to know each other” event and you will be the very first members of the Personal Growth Adventure Group movement. We welcome all individuals, couples, families, and well-behaved pets (on-leash please).
The plan is to meet at Sandbox Coffeeshouse in Ventura to fuel-up the soul while we introduce ourselves. This coffeehouse is clean and cool and hosts local artists and musicians. When we feel so inclined, we will then walk a short distance down the road to the beach promenade to enjoy the ocean and to continue socializing. We will bring along some fun activities, like a Frisbee and Soccer Ball and more (post your ideas), in case anyone wants to kick off their shoes and get more exercise- there is both grass and sand. All are invited to watch the sunset before heading back to our vehicles, but there is no pressure to stay if you can’t make the whole day (sunset is estimated around 4:45pm). We welcome meditation and yoga, musical instruments, kites, and ??? for anyone who craves these simple pleasures during a sunset at the beach.
Date: Saturday, November 9th
Time: Noon (12pm) – Sunset (5pm) … but spend as much or as little of the day as you’d like to…
Location: 204 E. Thompson Blvd, Ventura, Ca 93001
Cost: There is no associated group fee. We always promote supporting our local businesses!
Notes: Please check the weather when we get closer to the date of the event, we all know how unpredictable it can be on the coast. Blankets are a welcomed luxury.
We do not intend to be just another meet-up group but a community, a network of awesome adventurers, and a place to call home. Beyond the willful energy that will be invested by organizers, we look to members for inspiration. The line of communication is always open and we fully expect to shape the group around member preferences. This group is, after all, as much yours as it is anyone’s.
