Github Hubbub

Presenter : Thor (Sean Swehla)

Doors Open at 6:30pm

Workshop starts 7pm

Git is one of the leading distributed source code control systems. Originally developed to specifically help with workflows in the Linux kernel, git has seen rapid acceptance on a number of other projects due to it’s flexibility and speed. Git takes a bit of education to use effectively, which this talk will hopefully provide.

My own surprise birthday celebration means I can't show off my github pages foo tonight. But I'm happy to talk about the subject any time. (Did you know you can sub-host project sites under the custom url of a 'user' site? Like http://this-is-my-user-site.com/and-this-is-my-project-site-woot!)

Hey Sean! Look forward to this. If you're interested, I can also share tips for Github pages - after doing it wrong for a long time, I've figured out who to use them for both user (multi-repository) and project (single-repository) web sites.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
