Hello Everyone -
I like to start off the season with our first kayaking adventure to be a nice easy paddle along the Charles River. This section of the Charles is a quite, flat-water paddle - beginner level throughout a very tranquil, wooded area on the outskirts of Route 128. So if you've never paddled before, this is the trip to see if you'll like it. If you have paddled before, this will be a nice warm up for the season! (they also offer tandum kayak rentals if the mood strikes)
We'll paddle a leisurely few hours and stop for a break for water or snack. The drive is approximately 30 minutes from the South Shore, right off Route 128 - easy to find and plenty of parking!!!
*CASH for rentals ($15 per hour pp plus tax) - we get a discount if I pay for all
*Must be 18+ - anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult family member
*snack/lunch & beverage
*plenty of water
*a smile for a good time
Bringing your own boat:
*need your own PFD, paddle & whistle
*drop boat off at launch before parking for ease of transport
WEATHER: Event will be cancelled due to bad weather. Look for an email from me the night or morning before the event for cancellation. If you do not receive an email - the event will occur.
*SSFMG and its organizers are not responsible for any injuries to participants or damage to kayaks and/or kayak equipment. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are required for all participants.
