Chad Oulson Memorial Ride

We'll meet out in front of Seminole Scooters at 8:00 and depart by 8:15.  We need to be at Sky Powersports in Port Richey around 9:00 in order to register for this event.  They are hosting a ride to benefit the family of the man who was recently gunned down in a local movie theatre.  The ride will begin at Sky Powersports at 10:00 and end at Quaker Steak and Lube.  Their route will include some interstate and the Howard Franklin Bridge so this is not a ride for small scooters.  Please signup by Saturday so I know who to expect.  Thank you.

The 8 of us met out in front of Seminole Scooters and Wayne led us out to Sky Powersports. From there we headed out with what I'd guess to be about 500 other bikes through the Florida countryside. We initially had a police escort but there was such a large group that it was impossible for the 3 or 4 cruisers to be very effective for very long. The group got all split up and there was huge gaps in it. There were 4 of us from our group who managed to stay together and we had an enjoyable ride. Ed disappeared right after we got to Sky and we didn't see him again. I've got to say that he has one damn purdy Goldwing, absolutely beautiful ! ! ! Gary, Terry and Leo all got separated from us somewhere along the route. Wayne, Tom, Bill and I were the 4 who somehow managed to keep together even though we got split up for a while. All in all it was a good time and I'm glad I went, I hope they raised a lot of money for the Oulson family.

I lost you guys when we staged at the Red Lobster across from Sky. I was probably about the 60th or. 70 th bike out of the parking lot when we started . I looked for yall up at 56 but never saw anyone. I rode back to StPete but split from the group when we got to 49th and came home . Good to ride with familiar faces again.

I usually don't attend many memorial rides, but this incident really affected me. This young man and his wife went to the movies for a rare night out date that him and his wife rarely got to do since having their 22 month old daughter, and it ended in tragedy. It would be nice to see us all there. Any donation would be appreciated, large or small. This night should not have ended in the manner that it did. This only reminds us that anytime or anywhere God may call us. Please attend if possible. Also Bob, thanks for posting.
