Introduction to Kicking Ass with jQuery

Scott Trudeau (Apartment Therapy Media) will provide an introduction to the popular jQuery JavaScript library. If you have strong HTML/CSS skills, but your JavaScript experience has never gone much beyond "cut and paste," come learn how to use jQuery and jQuery plugins to create enhanced, dynamic user experiences for your sites.
Scott will provide an overview of using jQuery's DOM manipulation, animation and Ajax components.
Prior to the discussion, there will be a brief period for announcements. Afterwards, there will be an optional "show and tell" session. Show off sites you're currently working on and get design feedback and technical assistance.

femmebotIt was good. The presenter was informative though it would have been helpful if he had provided links to jquery documentation,
code samples, firebug, etc prior to the meeting so we had a better context for what to expect during the presentation. (BTW, I didn't think the presentation was geared for designers without scripting/programming (regex, really!?) skills. Not an issue for me but I can see some folks in the audience not really following things.)
