Are you a product visionary with Web 2.0 chops who can go from "blue sky" to rock-solid interactive products in a single bound? Well then, have we got a gig for you, and you, and you!!!
The Hired Guns are looking for 3-4 truly amazing product managers with diverse experience to join our client, a major media company on a big time endeavor. Your job, should you choose to accept it, will be to join an incredible team of product innovators on a journey to figure out what's next as media converges. If that's too loosey-goosey for you...then this gig's not for you.
But, if you fancy yourself as platform-agnostic with a heavy bent toward new media and want to take your previous product experience and vision for the "NEXT BIG THING" to a company that has the bandwidth, consumer audiences and interest in building the next evolution of products for the Web, mobile, broadband and beyond -- well, my friend, this could be the place that will keep your brain satiated.

Please read what we're looking for in this role (a.k.a. the nitty-gritty). And keep in mind, while we'd love to meet product managers who have a traditional pedigree, you absolutely don't have to have had the "product manager" title to succeed in this role. You could be a strategist for an interactive shop, a user experience guru, an interactive producer with cinematic vision or even the head of new media for a magazine. The where's and how's are endless.
What you do need is the enthusiasm, the entrepreneurialism and the drive to build content-driven products that consumers will want to explore and return to time and time again. Just make the case -- we're listening!
The ideal candidate will have a diverse background of experience that expands from TV and Broadband to the Web, mobile and beyond. You will also have a consumer orientation or be well versed in a specific subject area (e.g., kids, teens, young adults, women, general news, business news, celebutainment, etc.) The cool thing about this opportunity is that it will give you access to amazing brands and distribution vehicles across various media platforms with the freedom to combine them in new and interesting ways. The best candidates will have an understanding not only of building products that consumers want, but also key branding/marketing drivers (acquisition and retention) and revenue drivers (ad sales) that will ensure financially robust ROI on your efforts.
Here are a few efforts that you'll be able to sink your teeth into... [Please note: if you're particularly well-suited to one or several of these products please highlight that to the best of your ability in your cover letter and resume. It will pay off!]
