How has business been treating you? How have you been treating business?
Lao-Tzu said that "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
One of the first steps in starting any venture, I believe some of you would agree, is to identify reliable resources that would be converted (or transformed) into higher perceived value. While there will undoubtedly be an element that you (and only you) can provide, there are several other elements that may not necessarily be within your realm of expertise. For instance, a public speaker may not necessarily be a whiz as creating snazzy websites (unless, of course, her topic of choice is website creation)!
So how do we find resources that brings us not only transactional benefits (e.g. cost-effectiveness) but also relational assets (e.g. sustainable strategic advantage)?
In the coming days and weeks, there are some exciting people whom the team have lined up to share their insights from Europe and other parts of the world. They have come with significant marketing and crowd-sourcing backgrounds (specifically for small business), and it would be interesting to share and exchange views on their experiences compared to our experiences in Asia. These are serious people who have intentions to visit Singapore and the region several times in the next 12 months.
Do share how would you like to benefit from the coming activities. I've spoken to our guests and they are very keen on answering any questions relating to the entrepreneurship journey in the Singapore scene. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
To Your Sustained Success,
