Startup Atlanta's #OnStage - March 2010

Welcome to the Startup Atlanta's #OnStage!

What is it?

#OnStage is an event for selected entrepreneurs to demo their startups followed by a Q&A with public or DM voting on Twitter.

Who Should Attend?

Startup Entrepreneurs, Investors, Students, Journalists, Marketers, PR pros, Economic Development pros, Developers, Designers, or anyone else interested in INNOVATIVE Startups in Atlanta.

Limited Attendance

Attendance will be limited to approximately 50 people to maintain an intimate atmosphere.

Agenda Format

For this month's event we'll have the following agenda:

Twitter Voting

Make sure you have a Twitter account and bring your Twitter-enabled mobile device or your laptop so you can vote for the Crowd Favorite of the evening. You'll be able to vote by either publicly tweeting or by discretely sending a direct message (DM) to @StartupAtlanta. If you'll want to DM be sure to follow @StartupAtlanta in advance (so we can follow you back.) We'll also have some invited startup gurus on hand (serial entrepreneurs, investors, lawyers, etc.) who'll be voting for the Most Viable.

The night's winner and runner up in each category will be announced via Twitter the next day and the winners will be invited back in November for a "Best of the Best" OnStage by Startup Atlanta.

I enjoyed the presentations and learning about what is expected in presentations by the audience. The event abso provide the opportunity to network and meet other entrepreneurs.

Thoroughly impressed with the group of presenters and their startups tonight... I do wish to hear more of the lessons learned from each presenter. For example, Chirbit built a user base of 5000 users from what appeared to be a one man army and CoThrive raised a million dollars, how did they do it! If we can include more of that aspect in the agenda, it could make the meeting even more beneficial. Just a thought...

A very good event. Thanks Mike and Jenny. I am continuously surprised to meet more and more entrepreneurs in this community that are doing some really innovative work. The real benefit is to tap into that conversation and energy and try to get these groups to help one another.

Great experience for me to see fellow entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground.
I am thinking of giving it a shot myself.
