Ben Kaplan is no stranger to the largest media outlets in the world:  He has been featured on more than 2,000 TV and radio programs, including interviews on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, Nightline, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, Fox News, NPR, and the BBC.  Ben has also written columns for leading global publications such as The New York Times, Time, and U.S. News & World Report. In addition to his role as a media personality, Ben has served as a media consultant, media trainer, and paid spokesperson for some of the largest companies in the world including Citibank, Coca-Cola, American Express, Sallie Mae, and Discover Card.  As the founder of a boutique public relations firm in the U.S., he has scheduled media tours for a wide variety of global financial services, consumer products, and education-related companies. Ben has also worked on the other side of the media industry as a syndicated newspaper columnist, radio commentator, and best-selling author.  Known as "America's Scholarship Coach," his book, 'How to Go to College Almost for Free' (HarperCollins Publishers) is the best-selling book in the genre with half a million copies in print.  Over the past decade, he has saved tens of thousands of families half a billion dollars in college costs.
