GameCamp Edmonton Meetup

GamePub is an event that we organize to gather, discuss and celebrate the fantastic game development community that we have here in Edmonton (and in Alberta). It is an opportunity to not only come out and hear some cool talks from members of our industry but also network and socialize with your peers.

This months event will be once again hosted by our friends over at Startup Edmonton and will feature:

- David Chan (Fluik), who will discuss audio development for Indie games.

- Scott Langevin (Guru), who will talk a bit about what Guru is up to with its new Game Development program and how they hope to benefit the industry with it

- RicWilliams (GamrCred), what GamrCred is and how it can be utilized to benefit your game.

After the talks have completed we invite you to stick around aswe will move over to the Mercer Tavern for those who are interested in additional socializing with their peers more.

As always GamePub is free to attend and open to anyone regardless if they are a game developer, artist, student or if they are in the digital media industry.

GameCamp Edmonton is an industry Special Interest Group whose goals it is to help network, profile and promote the rich and diverse game development industry in Edmonton.

We invite you all to please join us for our monthly meetups. Friends, co-workers, students and those working in similar media and entertainment industries are all invited to attend for the talks and we certainly hope that you will stick around afterwards to network with your peers, ask development questions, and learn more about the industry in general (likely over a few beers shared at a nearby establishments).

Great as always! I really wish I had the time and money to take the Guru game design course, it sounds great.
