UX Edmonton Meetup

UX Edmonton is the new hub for Edmonton's User Experience community! We bring together designers, developers, researchers and analysts from all industries and professions who share an interest in user experience.

UX YEG is dedicated to connecting Edmonton's vibrant user experience community. Our goal is to offer the opportunity for likeminded professionals to connect, share ideas and learn new skills.

Everyone is welcome to participate in UX YEG activities whether user experience is your calling in life or just a hobby. UX YEG meets monthly to discuss books or topics relating to UX in a social atmosphere. There’s no preparation required, all you need to bring is your favorite Sharpie and a desire to learn and share with your peers.

Fortuitously, the following came from STC today:

More information about responsive design. As a contractor on many positions, I find that once the wireframe is done, it is then that the core information can be extracted: design first and then extract - client should be able to get what he / she wants right out of the gate. I guess I am a person who likes to see the whole first and then extract. Otherwise like someone said, you are trapped by the data and this phenomenon happens often. I guess I should invest in a smart device, other than an iPad, to truly understand the fuss about large and small. I design differently than most. Oracle WebCenter Content system stores one item. It is when the content is deployed that formatting is applied: saves the trouble of storing large, small, medium, high, low, medium resolution.

Sorry. I figured it probably wasn't worth going for only half an hour. I hope not to have any conflicts for the next one!

    Hey,
Is there any way you would consider moving the UX meetups to Monday or Wednesday evenings? I have a prior longstanding commitment on Tuesday nights, PLUS this is the same night as the GirlGeek Dinner... please?

    Thanks!

Hi, We would love to do that but unfortunately Tuesdays and Mondays are the only nights when Startup Edmonton can hose the event. We did consider Mondays but it was colliding with Mobile mondays. So sorry, will for sure try to see if we can move it for the future events.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
