Lunch and Learn - Branding

It's a new lunch and learn series about all things startup - entrepreneurship, marketing your product and startup, funding, legal, accounting and more. Best of all, they're free - just bring your lunch and your mind. All sessions take place at Startup Edmonton [masked] Street, 3rd Floor) and start at 12 noon.

Marc Carnes & Doug MacLean, Incite


Marc Carnes, Incite, Account Executive
Marc is an active enthusiast with an appetite for all things new and a passion for the arts. A proud Mount Allison University alum, Marc also attended an innovative Arts & Cultural Manager’s Program through the University of Waterloo with ten other students from across Canada. Now, he uses his unique cultural perspective, his experience in marketing, and his appreciation for the power of relationships to offer Incite’s clients innovative marketing opportunities. Marc has experienced much of Canada, having lived in Ottawa, Sackville NB, Red Deer, Toronto, and Edmonton (twice!). In his spare time Marc is an active volunteer, including serving as a Board member for The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.

Doug McLean, Incite, Director, Account Manager
An avid sports fan and enthusiast, Doug knows what it takes to manage a team. His broad education and marketing knowledge, combined with his previous work in events management for the U of A’s athletic teams, provides him with the expertise to assist clients as they develop and strengthen their audience relationships. In his role as Incite’s Account Management Director, he now leverages his diverse background to help Incite’s team of account executives find winning solutions for their clients. A native of St. Albert, Doug has lived in Montreal and Brussels and travelled extensively across Canada and Europe.

    Good info and presentations. However I would rebrand the event to: "Bring your Lunch and Learn". Every L&L I've been to before included a light lunch and networking for 20-30 mins prior to the presentations. Something to consider to attract a larger audience even if you charge a nominal fee. Overall I left feeling inspired. Thank you.
