Startup Weekend Riverside

Startup Weekend is coming to Riverside for the first time ever this May. Several of us attended the one in Irvine at the beginning of February and it is an absolutely amazing event. If you are interested in startup entrepreneurship at any experience level you will definitely want to be here.

You'll need to register in order to attend, and you can find information and a link to register at http://riverside.startupweekend.org/.

Be sure to use the promo code STARTUPIE when you register for the event to get $25 off the registration fee.

Thank you Mark! Thank you for helping out and dedicating your time. The event would not have been the same without the participation of everyone involved! I am already brainstorming for the next one and shooting for the Fall of this year

I heard Sally say that the video of the event would be posted online or was streaming? any chance I can get that video? I would really like to show it to my team and my Communications Dirrector to get some help developing my skills.

LegalBeast: These guys should get on top of making that company a reality ASAP! Everything could be done for that in a month of work.

Start locally and get movin! They have SO much margin to incentivize college campus ambassadors. refer-a-friend programs, and other affiliates. Don't bother following through in small claims court into the model ... it's more expensive than it is worth. The letterhead and legalese will have the desired impact in a statistically overwhelming high majority of cases. There are so many good partnerships for a company like this!

FetchIT... I'll definitely be a user when yall launch this. A couple key integrations and some PR luck would cause the viral effect to explode since viral referral is built into the real-world problem you are solving.

Epic event! Riverside pulled in some great startup ideas. Better than I've seen at most events in LA and Orange County.

Everyone, if you'd like to attend the final presentations on Sunday evening there are some (just a few) tickets available at riverside.startupweekend.org for Sunday. Unfortunately the rest of the weekend will be closed to all but attendees.

Hey guys, I won't be able to attend because I can't commit the whole weekend. Prior engagements. I am curious about possibly attending pitches on Friday and/or demos on Sunday. Didn't see a ticket option for this. Congrats on getting this event pulled off. I know it hasn't happened yet, but just the fact that we're having it is a huge win for the IE!

    Hey All,

Thanks for the heads-up regarding the Start-up Weekend. It sounds pretty awesome.

My partner and I are wondering how the event will be organized when it comes to who gets to present business startup ideas? Will there be a list of presenters established before the event or will people be randomly selected from volunteers during the course of the event?

    Thanks.

Hello Jay. I am one of the organizers for the event. Everyone is invited to do a 1 min pitch on Friday night. The attendees will then get to vote for their favorite ideas and the top ideas will move on to the next stage. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me at [masked] Hope to see you there!
