Growth Strategies: Building Your Team

Join us March 20th at LogicMonitor as one of Santa Barbara’s fastest growing companies hosts “Growth Strategies: Building Your Team”

The evening will start with networking, some announcements and a welcome by LogicMonitor CEO Kevin McGibben.

We'll then jump in to a great discussion about Building Your Startup Team

Newly Added*:  Michael Hughes the VP of Community Development at CoFoundersLab (a StatupSB partner) will join us remotely for an update on what they are up to and how their platform can help jump start your team!

Karen Dwyer, Owner of Express Employment Specialists, and Board Member of the Santa Barbara County Workforce Investment board, will also join us to profile Santa Barbara County's hiring trends and growth!

We’ll then be joined by LogicMonitor's CTO Jie Song who will talk about growing a great tech team in 3 locations (Santa Barbara, Austin and China)..

The LogicMonitor team will also be available to answer questions, and give you a tour of their office.  Looking for a job?  LogicMonitor is hiring!

We'll wrap up the evening with a few announcements, and an opportunity to win tickets to Startup Weekend Santa Maria.  That’s right… we are giving away tickets to the upcoming Startup Weekend in Santa Maria! http://santamaria.startupweekend.org

As always food and drinks will be provided!

I am temporarily in the area as journalist-in-residence at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics at UCSB. This Meetup group seems like the sort of group that might be interested in a new science cafe that I have organized for KITP and that could be another opportunity to meet like minded entrepreneurs. Sorry if I am overstepping protocol here. Info for the April 2 science cafe event is here: http://www.kitp.ucsb.edu/outreach/cafe-kitp

I would appreciate advice on how to reach the local business, tech and entrepreneurial communities to let them know about this new series for SB's forward-looking communities.

Kyle - I will be attending so can you update my RSVP please? Meetup site asks me to pay when I try to reply without any option to indicate my annual membership, hence no fees :-) Thanks.
