Hi all,

We are excited about organizing the next StartupSB event!  The event will be scheduled for early May and hosted by Logic Monitor at their brand new offices.  Details are coming soon!

I also wanted to give you all a heads-up on Santa Barbara's first Startup Weekend. For those that don't know, Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event that focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend.  Santa Barbara Startup Weekend will be held June 1, 2 & 3.   There are a limited number of "Early Bird" tickets available at the discounted rate, and we'll be starting some additional promotion and marketing soon, so if you are interested in participating register now at before the "Early Bird" tickets sell out!

In addition to the upcoming StartupSB and Startup Weekend events there are a number of great entrepreneurial events going on this week!

Wednesday night, April 18 at 5:00 pm, the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Central Coast presents:
These Companies Rock! Music+Tech+Entrepreneurship=Success
The event features a panel of entrepreneurs who have built successful businesses around their passion for music and technology.  More info (and registration) is available at

On Thursday, April 19th at 5:00 pm, the Santa Barbara Mobile Meetup group presents:
Santa Barbara Mobile Startups.
More info is available at:

Also, good luck to the UCSB Technology Management Program's New Venture Competition semi-finalists participating in the New Venture Fair tomorrow night!

See you all soon,
