Teq Thursday's #1- OSX on PC, Jailbreak, App Store SEO Tips, Windows on iPAD

Everyday, there are new technologies either being announced or deployed to the marketplace.  Tech that can help with your project, business, and even personal needs. New apps, smartphones, tablets, other consumer electronics and technologies that are ready to be used and enjoyed by you.

This event will occur monthly at first.

Most of the technologies that we will introduce and highlight will focus on apps, products and services that can help you be more productive, communicate more effectively and move forward.  Some will be just for fun.

Examples:

  • Guest speaker on Digital Marketing and SEO (Definite)
  • Google Search Tips
  • Run Windows 7 in the cloud, at near full speed on your iPad with Microsoft Office for 10 Hours, internet access faster than Wifi or 3G with FLASH Support (This is not Remote Access Folks)
  • Run OSX on Your PC, learn Play Around with it, Develop
  • jail breaking your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.  Also will demo Cydia Apps.  Discussion on pros, cons hazards
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote Tips and Tricks
  • Google Search Tips and Techniques
  • JailBreak Time (Learn how to Root your Apple or Android Device and the pros and cons of doing it)
  • The list goes on.....

Find out more about these new marvels and how to use them from Just Dev It, vendors and other members in the community.  Share your own knowledge and experiences about technology that you have used in our open discussion portion of the event.

Get hands-on demos and training on the latest gadgets, apps and other products from vendors and members alike.

This idea spawned from other events where we introduced certain members to apps and consumer electronics that they were not aware of and were extremely excited to learn about.

Technologies that you are interested in and want to explore to help you and/or your business grow, please let us know.

It's all about self empowerment here, and we will try everything to make it happen.

Compliments:

The Just Dev It Team

I'm really glad that I made it to this event. The presentation was excellent. Learning how to pimp out my workspace with 5+ quality monitors (at $50 a pop!) that run simultaneously through little ol' USB connectors, was priceless. The OSX-on-PC and jailbreak info was top notch. My opinion of the SEO and mobile marketing segment doesn't count, as I was the speaker. :) Overall, an awesome meetup!

Unbelievable just how much you can learn about a Mac in under 90 minutes! Thanks Tony for sharing your knowledge and cutting our learning curve! In addition, Collin Tate's presentation on best SEO practices in Google's ever changing Panda, Penguin.. next P/animal....change, should surely have helped anyone with optimizing their online presence and boost their mobile app submission process. Glad I didn't miss this one!

Sadly a lot of developers ignore marketing but definitely it's survival for the fittest and the prettiest

Here's an idea... since Adobe CS6 just came out, how about some topics covering the newest features. It could be broken down into 2 or 3 segments, a print segment (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), a web segment (Adobe DW, Muse, Edge, Fireworks) and maybe another segment focusing on Touch apps or any other additional apps not covered.

Thanks. We will definitely be covering SEO in a min form, the larger meetup will be in June. These new tech events are designed to help members be more productive in their business an personal lives. Topics that may be added in the future are Google search tips, keeping your iPhone charged all day without bulky cases or batteries, and others. Some of these topics, based on interests will be converted into workshops.
