The trU Grit of Leadership:  Leading Entrepreneurial Ventures From The Inside Out

Where does leadership start?  For any leader, it starts with knowing the strengths and weaknesses they bring to the key conversations and actions that make leaders successful.  This is especially critical for entrepreneurs, and doing the inside work of leadership first will give you a foundation for some of the key decisions made during the successful launch of a business.  This workshop is designed to develop the skills of self-awareness and self-management that are critical in successful entrepreneurial leadership.

Scott Patchin, Founder, The trU Group

Scott has a core belief that the habits leaders practice and the conversations they have with their people are the keys to their success.  He launched his own leadership development company, The trU Group, in 2009 around the mission of helping others realize the excellence they were born to achieve.  While his focus is phase 2 growth companies and family businesses, he enjoys connecting with entrepreneurs and has been a past speaker for the Momentum program, FastTrac® program,  and the MidMichigan Innovation Center.  Learn more about Scott at his website (, LinkedIn (, or on Twitter (@trugroupscott).

What a great group of people to spend a couple hours with. They asked great questions and were definitely an "energy producing" group from a facilitation standpoint. The location and staff at Start Garden are also wonderful. If you have not been there for an event, I encourage you to go. It was a great evening.

Looking forward to this event. It is always a treat for me to get to spend time with entrepreneurs. Expect a hands-on experience, I am not a sit and lecture kind of person.
