Looking forward to it! Looks as if there was some nasty weather at Fort Desoto. Linda and I have taken the TI out on the St. Johns 4 times now and we enjoy it more each time we go. We ran into Chris Holt on one of our outings. We usually put in at Governors Creek in Green Cove Springs but sometimes put in at Knights Marina on Black Creek.
Hey Again Darrell!
I noticed that my location was inadvertantly listed as Jacksonville! Don't know how it got that way but fixed it as it should be, Tampa. Sorry for the confusion.
You folks might see me next weekend down at Ft Desoto as Jim Quinlan and I are tryin' to drop in on you folks at some point... tried to reserve a camp spot at the park but all are taken.
Take Care,
Don
Hey Darrell!
I have,as you guessed, a blue main hull with dune Amas but the kit I got from Hobie was apparently a very early kit and it came with a sail that is just gray, no colors, blue, yellow or red! Also, instead of Adventure Island printed on the sail, my sail has the words "Hobie Island"!
So I guess I have a "HI" instead of an AI ("Hobie Island" not an Adventure Island)!
Take Care,
Don
Thanks! I hope to learn everything I can and expand my horizons as much as possible. I look forward to meeting you guys.
BTW - here is a link to some of the photos from last years Everglades trip:

Hi Guys, thanks for the welcome. I am leaving on the 16th for a week long trip, with a few other AI owners, from Chokoloskee to Flamingo. I did the trip twice last year. We sail offshore and camp on the beach. Packing is always a concern. We have to carry about 7 gallons of water, each, in addition to our food and gear. It requires a backpackers mind set - keep it simple and keep it light.
Miss you guys!!!!! Happy New Year! i want to go on many camping kayak trips this year and hope to see you on the water soon.
Welcome Susan & Darrel. Hopefully we can get some folks together when it cools off a bit. I would like to try those sailing kayaks. No paddle? See ya soon!
Love the Hobie Adventure Islands. I want the tandem for me and my wife.
