Bright Moon Light Night Photography

DESCRIPTION: Learn to shoot, expose correctly, and focus in the dark, well almost dark. These classes are a few days before the full moon and it will be surprisingly bright to your camera.

We will be shooting using the moon light rather than shooting at the moon. You will be amazed how bright your photos can be with the right settings.

We will be shooting in Manual mode. You do not need experience shooting in Manual, I'll show you what to do. Bring your, jacket, coffee, widest lenses, cable release (if you have it) and your tripod (required). Don't forget a flash light.

See example images at the previous Bright Moon Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/stevegandyphotography/photos/16782192/

Suggested donation is $21 per photographer but only if you have fun and learn something!

Limit of 8 participants for this location. Sign up early!

LOCATION: We will meet at the Ranger Station at Chatauqua Park, Baseline and 9th, Boulder CO. This is a change.

EXAMPLES:

Eldorado Canyon rocks from our shooting location on Hwy 93. Yes, this was taken under moonlight.

Some bright moon light photography in Hawai'i. Too bad we can't do a Meetup there very easily!

Great time last night (although I'm not sure the fox would agree) and learned some great tips, including getting a better shutter release :-)

Wish I could attend, but an unfortunate event called my job gets in the way.

    Hi Steve,
This looks like a great meetup. I am in Denver next week & hoping to be able to come however staying near Centennial so got to check I can get to Boulder. i should have a hire car.
I was hoping to be able to see the Perseids Meteor Shower while there too. I think I'll have to get up early to see it when there is no moon.
