Green Drinks is an international network for people who are interested in the environment. Now in over 450 cities world-wide, green drinkers come in all shades of green: from environmental professionals with "green jobs" to people just wanting to meet others, or learn a little about going green.
South Florida Green Drinks was formed through a partnership between Boca/Delray and Palm Beach Green Drinks chapters. We get between 10 and 50 people at our monthly informal gatherings and 150-300 at our twice-yearly parties.
Our meetings tend to be informal gatherings, without the activism, politics or seriousness that sometimes prevail when environmental matters are discussed -we prefer education over activism and optimism over pessimism. Anyone with even the slightest interest in green stuff is welcome to show up for a drink (and no, your drink does not have to be green in color, or alcoholic...you just drink what you want).
Former Vice President Al Gore will be coming to Boca Raton Mizner Amphitheater on November 14, 2009. He will be introduced by South Florida Green Drinks Chair, Marci Zaroff, and will speak on the climate crisis and the solutions to deal with it. Read more
