Free Rails intro course

Rails is the framework behind such Web sites as Twitter, Urban Dictionary, Basecamp, A List Apart, Pitchfork, and Shopify. This short course will leave you with the knowledge and skills to build your own Web app using Rails.

We provide a curriculum and one-on-one coaches to make sure you move at the pace best for you. We are open to everyone ranging from people who have never gone beyond opening Facebook to Web experts interested in Rails, and we even welcome those with Rails experience looking to level-up their knowledge.

We are running a separate installfest beforehand, where you can make sure your laptop is ready to rock a Rails app. Highly recommended but not required. You can sign up for the installfest here.

Can't make it? Don't panic! We will see you next quarter (and you're always welcome to other Stockholm Ruby events).

Fantastic. Please present that during the lightning talks at the presentation night on the 30th.

That worked out well - even if I do say so myself. Shall we write down some feedback/improvements for next time? We could put advice under "Organize" on stockholmruby.com

Definitely. Maybe we could discuss in this comment thread? Some things I noticed that we could improve the next time: * The noise level was rather high, making it a bit difficult to talk. Maybe we could spread out more. * Next event is in 10 days. Maybe hooking students up with a chat room, mailing list, forum or something to use until that next event could be good.

Note that in order to get the most out of this event, you really want to have everything you need installed beforehand.

Some of the coaches will be on site from 17:00 so if you still haven't got your computer setup properly you can get help before the event itself.

Its more than OK - it is intended for newbies. Not that important - but go for 2.0 if you can.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
