Free Rails intro course: build a web app in 2 hours

Rails is the framework behind such Web sites as Twitter, Urban Dictionary, Basecamp, A List Apart, Pitchfork, and Shopify. This short course will leave you with the knowledge and skills to build your own Web app using Rails.

We provide a curriculum and one-on-one coaches to make sure you move at the pace best for you. We are open to everyone ranging from people who have never gone beyond opening Facebook to Web experts interested in Rails, and we even welcome those with Rails experience looking to level-up their knowledge.

We are running a separate installfest beforehand, where you can make sure your laptop is ready to rock a Rails app. Highly recommended. You can sign up for the installfest here.

Can't make it? Don't panic! We will see you next quarter (and you're always welcome to other Stockholm Ruby events).

great event. the venue was spot on, decent food. the "instructors" were always very available and helped with whatever needed.
only thing i would change is make it less like a hackathon, where people site alone and code and more into a group intro course. perhaps a break in the middle to review the steps so far, or a demo?

Just as great as the install fest. The tutorial was easy to follow, and I particularly liked the explanations at the end of each step. The mentors were really helpful and enthusiastic. As a testament to how easy to follow the tutorial was you could see that most of the time the mentors didn't have that much to do. And as soon as someone needed help they raced over there at great speed. =)

Of course I had to be on the one delayed flight. Will still make it but not so much for preparing the venue.
