Rails intro course retrospective

Let's have a quick lunchtime retrospective to discuss what to keep and what to improve the next time we hold a Rails intro course.

We'd love to see both instructors and students.

We'll fix something to eat. Allergies? Let us know.

No worries. Please try to change RSVP next time so the organizers know how much food to get :)

Sorry for not attending, had completely forgotten about the event. With that said, I spent all but 10 minutes of the event with one person, doing nothing but failing to set up the environment.

In other words I don't really know what happened during the event.

unfortunately I am out of town on Wednesday. There was a comment about making it less of a hackathon and more a group exercise. Have a break, form groups, etc. That sounds good (I typically get involved in some problem and then I forget about breaks etc...). We had the same number of people this time but the feeling was different - people seemed less in need of instructions this time.

    Windows experience would be useful.

If we want to market the event we should try to get more women to come. <10% is poor even in this context.

We could try to Skype you in or something if you want to try that? Good comments, we'll discuss those things.

I'll mosrt likely be too busy to call in. Thanks for the offer anyways. Please take notes and post it.
