Information is power! You have probably heard from other GO! Network members, or the local news, about funds available for retraining. For our July 7th session, we’ll have experts on-hand to answer all of your questions regarding these funds as well as representatives from training providers to help you explore education and certification options.
This event will consist of two concurrent workshops. One workshop will be conducted by representatives of the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE). For this session, SLATE will provide information on Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds and the Microsoft Elevate America program – they will help you understand the process for taking advantage of these programs. The second session will provide information on available certification programs and other educational alternatives. You will hear from speakers representing New Horizons and Washington University’s Center for the Application of Information Technology (CAIT).
These interactive workshops will include a brief presentation and a Q&A session.
