This month’s meeting; Vikki Weaver will give a lecture on the true Scientific Method and its application to paranormal investigation. The purpose of this lecture is to clarify some common misconceptions that paranormal investigators have about conducting a “Scientific Investigation.” Also this lecture will show what steps are necessary for a scientific endeavor to be accepted by the academic and scientific communities.
Afterwards there will be a few short presentations a followed by group discussion of the last group outing on February 8th. Also our next outing will be announced.
Now that we have found a permanent place to meet, the St. Louis Paranormal Research Society will start holding regular meetings on the third Monday of every month. The place we have selected is the Shrewsbury City Center/City Hall. This is a clean, safe building, with plenty of parking, room, and privacy for us to conduct our meetings. The City of Shrewsbury is very eager for us to start hosting other types of events, once we get our monthly meetings up and running.
Meetings will be structured with the first 15-30 minutes devoted to group business. Followed by a 45 to 60 minute lecture on a paranormal topic. 30-60 minutes dedicated to presentations on current investigations and group discussions.
We also plan to hold at least one outing per month. Details about upcoming outings will only be shared at the meeting. We will not post them on the meetup board. SO IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHEN THE NEXT OUTING IS, YOU MUST ATTEND THE MEETING.
