Skating at Hellasgården

Obviously this activity depends on the condition of the ice. Meet in Slussen and take bus 401. Skates can be rented at 120SEK/hr. I suggest that we skate for an hour and then go to the restaurant for a snack.

Meet on the bus stop for the 401

The plan is to be at the skate rental by 11am to avoid a long wait in the queue for skates

I posted three photos that Maxin took of the parade using my phone. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take any pictures during the actual skating.

I've only skated a couple of times but the plan is to skate around the lake. A word of caution to those who have never skated please note that there are obviously no side rails so it would be difficult to learn how to skate. The group would probably split into the non experienced skaters and those with some experience. There is also a sauna you could try afterwards. Look forward to see you all later.

We plan to join even though the ice is not smooth at the moment. Nice place to walk around or maybe ski around on the ice instead (if I can dig our skis out of the attic), and have lunch while meeting some nice people!

Welcome to Stockholm its actually very close by. I hope you can come by walk. If you check on the metro map I hope you are staying close to Gamlastan (Old City) and Slussen is right next to it

    Hej, I am also begineer...
Suggestion: If some people want to go to Norrviken, I suggest to create another activity so that interested people can join there.

I'm a complete beginner so from what Hongmei says this is not the perfect place for me. Anyone else a beginner and like to switch to Norrviken for instance?

Just went there yesterday - the ice was terrible, full of mount like bumps almost non-stop. It would not stop an advanced or advanced/intermediate skater, but for a beginner like me, it was no fun. The ice on lakes further out are much better.
