Hike Ekerö

Let's get out and enjoy some autumn colours!

Transportation:

Let’s meet at the Bus 312 platform outside Brommaplan T-Bana Station. (From T-Centralen: 12:16 - 12:34 T-Bana Green Line towards Hässelby strand. Exit at Brommaplan.)

12:45 - ca 13:24 bus 312 from Brommaplan towards Adelsö. Exit at Kärsö gård.

We plan to walk Ekerö-Munsöleden, del I (20km from Kärsä gård to Träkvista)

Transportation Home:
There are lots of busses leaving from Träkvista towards Brommaplan where we can catch the T-bana. Walking the trail south should make the trip home easy!

Note: Please come on time and prepared to walk at a medium pace (we plan to walk 20km in 4-5 hours with breaks), bring good walking shoes, sunscreen, food, water etc.

Badly organized. People got lost never met the organizer. Everyone was pretty much on their own.

We did get off to a bit of a rocky start, but it was a typical Ekerö map...the company was great and the weather wickedly awesome...I only hiked as far as just before Skyttehölm, but enjoyed it a lot. My step counter said it was about 13.0 km! Wahoo!

I am on the fence. We have an 8 year old who loves to rollerblade and two small kiddos in a double stroller...? Is the trail a paved trail? Am I nuts to even consider such a long walk!? Ha! Sounds fun and the weather is supposed to be lovely. Let me know what you think about the trail and I will chat with the husband. :D

Victoria - don't worry, there are a few bus stops along the way, just in case.
Björn - I'm not sure exactly what kind of trail it is, I've walked parts of it before but it seems like a long time ago now, I don't remember any major challenges on the trail, maybe some mud if it rains the day before

This sounds really good, just a bit worried that 20k will be too far for my husband and I?

  • Björn K.

Great plan! What kind of trail is it?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
