Welcome to the Stock Investing subgroup of the AAII Atlanta Chapter (sign-up for email updates on the AAII Atlanta "parent" chapter meetings/topics/speakers at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/aaii_atlanta/
). You do NOT need to be an AAII member to participate in this group.
The Stock Investing subgroup will focus on screening, analyzing and selecting stocks for investments. We will spend time examining the 56 stock screens (18 Value, 22 Growth & Value, 7 Growth and 9 Sector/Specialty) tracked by AAII on a monthly basis since Jan 1998 (this is an outstanding informational and educational tool!). In addition, we will consider a number of stock "systems", including ValueLine, VectorVest and Zacks as well a variety of tools (websites, screening, equity analysis, portfolio management, etc.). Lastly, we will tackle the bold initiative of financial analysis of stocks - from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective. We will focus on fundamental, technical and structural analysis of stocks - combined with risk management and money management techniques.
This subgroup is intended to be heavy on member participation (i.e., sharing experiences and techniques).
