Subject: [AAII-Atlanta] October AAII Atlanta Chapter Meeting; brief online research survey

Greetings!

1) This is a quick reminder that we have our October AAII Atlanta Chapter meeting ("Value Investing: Buying at the Point of Maximum Pessimism" with Scott Phillips) two weeks from today (Monday, Oct 18, 7pm). If you have not yet done so, please RSVP at http://www.aaii-atlanta.com/calendar/14884570/ (even if you are sending in payment by check ($10) or plan to pay at the door ($15)). PLEASE RSVP whether you plan to attend or not - we will gauge the demand for future programs based on your feedback and attendance! Please remember that you will not receive a notice via postal mail - only via email - for this meeting. As always, feel free to bring a friend, family member, and/or colleague to join us!

2) Ben Luippold, an accounting professor at Georgia State University, and his colleagues are working on a research project that examines the decisions and judgments of investors (who invest in *individual* stocks, not just ETFs or mutual funds).  The case only takes about fifteen (15) minutes to complete and can be taken on-line at your convenience.  All you have to do is click on the link below, read the case materials, and respond to the questions.

Click on the link to access the case: https://umass.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_2c9Y97t2CaD0P1a

Professor Luippold specifically wants me to point out that there are no risks to you personally, as all responses are completely anonymous, are treated with the utmost confidentiality and will only be analyzed after combining your responses with all other participants.  As such, there is no risk of your email address being shared with anyone. If you are willing to participate, all he asks is that you refrain from discussing the on-line material with any other members.

If you have any questions about the study, please feel free to contact Professor Luippold directly.  His contact information is below:
