A forum for intelligent discussion and debate on value investing and investment opportunities in stocks. Meet fellow Vancouver investors and bring your best undervalued stock ideas or current event topics each month for friendly debate. The meetings are open to anyone who has a passion for investing, loves a good bargain, and believes that gambling and speculation should not be a part of an investor's mindset.
The format of the meetup is to watch a short video clip series (or guest speaker) from top financial experts or investors for education and insight. We then will have 1-2 presentations on a stock idea or macroeconomic topic from group members. After a break for networking and refreshments, we return for a debate of current event topics and lively Q&A.
Ben Graham, the father of value investing wrote that, "An investment operation is one which, upon thorough analysis, promises safety of principal and a satisfactory return. Operations not meeting these requirements are speculative."
